A Simple Solution to an (Potentially) Annoying Issue

Sometimes small features can make a big difference in preventing operational issues!

A local manufacturer sought a solution to objects (such as garbage cans and signs) accidentally tripping the sensors on its loading bay doors. These mishaps trigger the doors to open or close unexpectedly. Given the winter weather in Wisconsin, keeping these doors closed as much as possible is often vital to everyone’s comfort!

They turned to Milwaukee metal fabricator 3Up Metal Works for a solution. Our metal fabrication experts designed and created these bright yellow bollard guards. They create a simple, unobtrusive barrier to items getting too close to the door sensors, which protrude several inches out from the doors themselves.

This is probably not an issue that anyone would think about … until it became a problem!

The answer just required some thought, design work and craftsmanship in our metal fabrication shop. We’re thankful our customer sought assistance - an unexpected blast of frigid air can disrupt anyone’s workday!
