Custom metal fabrication is all about one principle: creating uniquely-designed products for very specific uses. A recent project at a biochemical plant illustrated this concept many times over!

The craftsmen at our Milwaukee metal fabrication shop were tasked with designing, building and installing a platform and ladder in the heart of the plant. Their metal fabricator skills were certainly put to the test!

The platform had to fit a narrow space, flanked on opposite sides by large tanks. Thick pipes snaked overhead. Some of the pipes ran directly through the location of the new platform. They weren’t going anywhere - so the structure had to incorporate them into its design!

As these photos demonstrate, our Milwaukee welding and metal fabrication shop was up to the task. No one said it was easy, though.

Design work had to account for the tanks, piping and support beams crowding the space. Installation was meticulous - with a few bodily contortions thrown in - to accommodate said infrastructure.

The finished product allows our customer to safely access this production area for inspection, repairs and maintenance. We’re proud to have overcome a multitude of challenges and met their needs.
