Celebrating Veterans Small Business Week!
As you might already know, 3Up Metal Works is a certified Veteran-Owned Business. Our President, Jason Young, is a 12-year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and Wisconsin Army National Guard.
Jason is very active in the Milwaukee-area veterans community. He donates time to the Milwaukee County War Memorial Center and the Center for Veterans Issues.
As the leader of a Milwaukee metal fabrication shop, Jason is a strong believer in promoting fellow veteran-owned and -operated businesses. He recently appeared on WTMJ4’s The Morning Blend to promote Veterans Small Business Week.
Jason talked about how 3Up Metal Works is truly a custom metal fabricating operation. Its products are designed for specific purposes, often meeting niche needs of customers.
He mentioned how the 80-20 Rule, which he learned in the military, applies - 80 percent planning and 20 percent execution. Ongoing rapport with customers, and extensive preparation, allows products to be produced on specifications and on time.
Jason detailed some of 3Up Metal Works’ most frequent products: stairs, handrails, catwalks, conveyors and more. No two are ever the same. Each has different dimensions and uses - hence, the “custom” part of 3Up Metal Works’ steel, sheet metal and aluminum fabricating.
Jason appeared with David Belman of Belman Homes. The company sponsored the segment as part of its involvement with Operation Finally Home, which provides homes for veterans. Thank you, David, for both the opportunity to join you on The Morning Blend, and your support of veterans and their needs!
