Often colored bright yellow, bollards prevent vehicles from hitting the door frames. They’re solid and unmovable – either galvanized metal covered with a plastic sleeve, or a painted concrete cylinder. Either way, these unobtrusive pieces play a vital role in safeguarding structures and their related functions.
When a vehicle strikes a bollard, the bollard wins. The driver knows immediately they’ve made a boo-boo. Unless really distracted, they correct their path. Hopefully damage is limited to a small bumper ding.
